Harris and Hoole
Those of you who follow Filled With Love Cupcakes on Facebook will already have seen this news but it is so exciting we simply must share it with you here too!
Loafkins will soon be stocked in Harris and Hoole – who operate not just the coffee shop in Rickmansworth, but a chain that is currently growing and expanding. They are keen to engage with the local community and one way they do this is by sourcing cakes from Local Suppliers.
Filled With Love – the parent company behind Loafkins – is delighted to say that we are going to be the Local Supplier for Harris and Hoole, initially in Rickmansworth but hopefully into the rest of Metroland and beyond. They will be stocking Loafkins – Red Velvet, Lemon Drizzle, Sticky Toffee and Gluten Free Hummingbird.
The launch date will probably be May 31 when I will be in store sampling and talking about Loafkins and the Fairtrade ethos behind Filled With Love. I will post an update here and on Facebook and make sure that all my regular customers know – I would love to see you there!
Loafkins – the next big thing in cakes (proving you can be big even if you are little!)
Special Offer
Loafkins are the next big thing in cakes – and I want to make sure that all of my lovely customers have a chance to try them!
Thanks to all those who have already been part of the journey, taste testing, post-testing and offering me feedback – amazing that it has been one hundred per cent positive – thank you!
Loafkins retail at around £3.00. You may pay a little more in a coffee shop, a little less if you buy a box. The one above for example – five gorgeous little Loafkins gift packaged for just £12.50 until the end of May!
They travel really well – post testers can confirm this – so why not order a box to be delivered as a birthday treat to a friend or family member?

News and “new”s
Lots of lovely Loafkins there – and lots of lovely new flavours. Three in fact – wonder if you’ve worked out what they might be?
The first two photos show the classic vanilla sponge, this time studded with chunks of strawberry and topped with fluffy vanilla buttercream and strawberry flakes.
Then we have a scrumptious coconut cake, topped with a soft fondant icing and raspberry flakes – after all not everyone loves buttercream as much as we do!
And finally – a brand new product. Strawberry sponge flavoured with the amazing strawberry concentrate from my new favourite supplier MSK Ingredients They have been fantastically helpful as I’ve sought to source some new ingredients, flavours and toppings. Look out for a pistachio Loafkin with a cream cheese topping coming very soon!
That’s the “new”s. Meanwhile the news is we’re in discussion with a national coffee chain with a view to supplying them with Loafkins, our Trademark application has reached the next stage, and we’ve even taken a sneaky peak at premises with a view to expanding. We even had a mention on the Enterprise Nation blog.
Thanks for being a part of the journey from the very beginning!
Exciting News!

Tomorrow I will be baking up batches of Lemon Drizzle, Hummingbird, Sticky Toffee and Chocolate Loafkins.
Why? To take to a meeting at our local Harris and Hoole! This meeting means so much as a regular large order from a national chain could give us the steady income that will enable us to grow our business, hopefully into premises and perhaps with staff!
If you have any thoughts please feel free to comment – and if you think we have chosen the wrong flavours to represent us at the meeting what would your choice be?

Sharing the Loafkin Love
Lots more people have been getting a taste for Loafkins this week. A family quiz night saw us catering for 115 people and after their Ploughman’s Supper everyone was treated to a homemade cake. Many of them were Loafkins and unsurprisingly they were the first to disappear!
Red Velvet and Lemon Drizzle have just joined the Loafkin family which brings the range to five now including Hummingbird; Carrot, Coconut and Orange and Sticky Toffee.
They are all available at an introductory price of £2.50 each (in their protective pods) or £12.50 for a box of six. Do get in touch if you would like to order!
Out and About
A batch of loafkins made its way South Of The River this week. All the way to Croydon where an eager team of taste testers have been busy devouring them and feeding back…
Of course – we had to keep up and have done our own fair share of taste testing too, here in the Filled With Love kitchen.
It’s so hard to know which is our favourite – what would yours be? Sticky Toffee and Salted Caramel? Carrot, Coconut and Orange? Or Hummingbird maybe?
Welcome to Loafkins
It’s a very rare person who doesn’t enjoy a cake. Even those who have the self control to indulge only occasionally will have their favourite; whilst some can rarely resist and might consider tea without cake to be no such thing.
What’s better then than a slice of your favourite Victoria Sandwich, Hummingbird or Lemon Drizzle cake? We have the answer to that dilemma – a whole mini cake all to yourself!
Loafkins are conveniently sized and packaged making them ideal for picnics and packed lunches. The perfect accompaniment to morning coffee or afternoon tea they can also be sliced for children’s teas or drinks parties – ideal with a glass of fizz!
If you’re a fan of cupcakes then you will love loafkins. The same sweet all-to-myself treat but a wider range of flavours. And the best news of all – your first one is free!
